Billy Briggs

It is with great sadness that William Briggs,(Bill)has passed away on the first of April at the age of 93.He was a long standing member of SSC having joined in 1968.Taking on many of the tasks of running the club he was Commodore in 1979-1980. Bill was also a Trustee for many years.
The first Dinghy he owned was a Mirror 32223 called Noddy, which he built in the kitchen, moving on to Noddy Too a Wayfarer then Bambi a Wanderer, soon fitted with an outboard was regularly seen with Grace his wife exploring the Alde. Bill then purchased a small motorboat called Peche Nou, which was the perfect craft for futher adventures up and down the River.

The funeral is at Seven Hills, Nacton on Wednesday 8th May at 3pm, then afterwards at Sizewell Sports and Social Club. All welcome.No dress code.
