Dear Members,

The Dinghy Park Work Party scheduled for Saturday the 7th May has been cancelled as there are no jobs that cannot wait until the next date which is Saturday the 11th June.

On Saturday the 14th May there is a cruise and picnic to Iken with dinghies leaving the club about 10:00 hours subject to wind strength and direction- please check times with Tony Ellison. We will make use of the flood going up and the ebb coming back. I will be going to Iken in my motor launch "Quinkydink" so I can take picnics and non-sailors with or without dogs. I hope to leave the creek about 11:00 hours.

On Sunday the 15th May we are holding an Open Day to attract potential new members and we will need volunteers to show people around, please. We shall rig some of the club's dinghies and there will be a display of kayaks. Refreshments will be served from the galley.

Finally, the next edition of Slaughden Sails will be published shortly so please could you let the Editor have some copy- photos are always welcome as well as illustrations, anecdotes and jokes. Terry Sheppey's email address for this purpose is newsletter@slaughdensailingclub.co.uk
