Covid 19 update Monday 19th July 2021

Any member that has tested positive or that has Coronavirus symptoms should not attend the club.
Most COVID rules have been lifted by the government from 19th July 2021 at a time when infections are on the rise. Therefore, the club should continue to exercise a level of caution and respect the fact that some members remain concerned about the spread of this virus.
This is the latest guidance from Slaughden Sailing Club
- For now we recommend that you continue to use the hand sanitiser, wash your hands regularly and wipe down touch points.
- It will be at members discretion whether they wish to continue to wear a face mask.
- There is no longer a requirement to log you visit to the club, however members should consider still doing so as it would help trace any possible outbreak.
- The constraint regarding the number of people allowed to be in the clubhouse is lifted but please do respect the space between your group and that of other members.
- Mixed households can now sail in double handed dinghies, kayaks and on cruisers providing all parties have mutually accepted to join together.
- Power and Safety boat crew can now mix in the patrol boat. Consent will be triggered by populating the duty roster
- The individual changing rooms should be limited to a maximum of 8 people at any one time
- No more than 3 people in the OOD office and Galley at any one time
- There are no restrictions on race numbers or groups outdoors
- Seek to limit the number of guests that may accompany a member to a maximum of 2 on any one occasion (No guest can visit the club more than 4 times in any one year)
