COVID 19 Slaughden Sailing Club recovery plan
Published 14:02 on 15 May 2020
A notice to all members
Further to the holding statement published on 11.05.2020 the Committee can now share with you the following 2 documents
- 1.An overview of our plan to get back to on the water = The WHAT we plan to do and WHEN
- 2.A more detailed Framework document = the HOW we intend to go about this
- For your information prior to our launch date of 22.05.2020 we will be undertaking some stress testing of our framework to plug any gaps and help keep members safe. In that case we have invited some volunteers to attend the club from this weekend to assist.
We hope in these rather vague times that these documents provide greater clarity with regard a return to the water for our sport and club.
These documents take account of the latest Government guidance relating to this virus and further input from the RYA. For your information we have also shared these documents with the RNLI for local approval which they have confirmed.
Information and clarification are developing daily on virus related topics so expect some changes may occur at short notice. Furthermore, as we monitor the execution of this plan, we will no doubt be making some modifications based upon feedback.
For visiting members please note the requirement to certify that you have read and understood these documents. There is a form at the end of this document. This slip should be posted through the post box at the club upon your initial visit to the club.
As Commodore I would like to thank the Committee for their tireless efforts and valued input in a) preparing these documents in such a short period of time b) for their ongoing stewardship of the plan going forward.
The committee would like to thank members in advance for their support and cooperation in satisfying the requirements of this plan.
