Slaughden Sailing Club is a volunteer sailing club located in Aldeburgh Suffolk towards the Martello tower. We are an RYA Regional Training Centre that welcome new members from learn to sail beginners, Dinghy sailors, Cruisers, Windsurfers, Kayak, Canoe, Paddle Boards SUP or Social interest.
This is a welcoming and friendly club that can also offer daily and or weekly temporary membership for those visiting the area exploring what to do in Aldeburgh and seeking some fun or a new challenge.
We have an accessible clubhouse with a range of facilities including changing rooms, showers and catering for up to 50 people or simply enjoy a tea and coffee whilst taking in the scenery. The club also has a special needs provision for those with disabilities.
The club offers the experience of RYA Dinghy and Power boat, Safety boat training using club equipment which include Topper, Wayfarer, RS Feva and Ribs.
The club has a comprehensive race and social programme throughout the year. In addition a number of informal sailing and cruising events for those that want to explore and discover the attractions of the Alde and Ore river and beyond.
