  • Coastguard seach and rescue changes

    The coastguard had as scheme whereby yacht owners could register their and their yacht details in case the worse should happen. The information held would assist the coastguard in their search and rescue activities. The coastguard have decided to withdraw their system (it is administration heavy) and instead collaborate with RYA and its SafetrX app. See link safetrx

  • Club Talks Wednesday Evenings in October

    Nigel Hemming delivered a very professional talk on Wednesday 25 th September entitled 'The History of Orford Ness from WW1 to present day' The presentation was in the form of a documentary that Nigel had painstakingly produced and narrated. 21 members attended the evening which was a fantastic turnout.   • Visit by the East Coast Old Gaffers Association

    The following information has been supplied by AYC. Those visiting the Butley by yacht will have seen the Boyton Dock landing stage is inoperable. However the good news is that the Butley Ferry landings have been improved and are now available for use by tenders, but not yachts.
