As you know the RYA is the National Authority for our sport. That not
only means racing but all aspects of sailing and motor-boating. Our Club
is affiliated to the RYA and we have received valuable help and advice in
the past. However, to do us justice, it also needs enthusiasts to join as personal members. When fighting our corner
against all the outside pressures it needs to be able to claim the
personal representation of a large number of individuals, the more the
better.
If you are not already a personal member I would urge you to consider joining. There are a number of perks that go with individual membership. You get a £5.00 voucher of RYA publications, free ICC, free advice and information from RYA experts, free marine legal advice, etc.
I have found the RYA very helpful and would recommend individual membership. If you do apply then please put the Joining Point No 3047 on your application form, the Club will then get a small commission!
